Have some dessert at Sans Rival cakes and pastries!

If you happen to be in Dumaguete, don't forget to stop by at Sans Rival cakes and pastries known for their sansrival and silvanas. I get to visit Dumaguete almost every month because of my work and I never to fail to pass by Sans Rival.

After having my lunch, I ordered sansrival and puto cuchinta for dessert. They also served lunch there.

sansrival tastes really good. It is creamy and the wafers are crunchy. There is something about the caramel when the flavors mixed together.
Price: Php25.00

Puto cuchinta. Nothing fancy, I just wanted to eat this.

Mathea's Christening

Last July 03,Mathea my godchild became a christian (Roman Catholic). Since I love planning/organizing events, I was in-charge of the giveaways, games and prizes.

Mathea's giveaways which were sponsored by her pretty godmothers-lovely,Abi,Gracia and Diane, was customized and hand made by claychelicious.
Full package includes-box,ribbon and the card  tag. Unfortunately, the one I ordered was without a card tag due to ink/printer problem. So, I made one.

Baby and feeding bottle give away/souvenir made of clay. Photo courtesy:claychelicious

For the card tag,I just printed a short note & a 1x1 pic, then inserted it between the ribbon. I used a special paper bought at National Bookstore.

For the prizes, I bought different kinds of chocolates from Marks & Spencer. All participants did not go home empty handed as there were consolation prizes.

The prizes beautifully arranged where the cake, gifts and giveaways are placed.

For the games, I came up with four games and that will not bore the guests. Game 1- Feeding time.
Game 2 -trivia question about the celebrant
Game 3 - Ping pong relay with a twist.
Game 4- trivia question again about the celebrant

I do not have pictures of the games, I was too busy assisting the host. But, everyone enjoyed the games.

Welcome to the Christian world Mathea!

Mangodlong Rock Resort,Camotes Island

We had our company summer outing in Camotes Island. It was a rainy Saturday, few of us were hesitant to go,since we heard the news a typhoon was coming. No one bothered to check the weather and with the assurance from the colleagues that it was okay to go, we decided to just come along. We departed from Portofino beach at Lapulapu around 8:00am and boarded a  boat. (Not a good idea. If in case, you would go to Camotes, take the boat in Danao, a 1 hour drive from Cebu City. And from Danao to Camotes will take you another 2 hours.)

The ride was smooth sailing during the first 2 hours. And then suddenly, big waves was coming in. I will spare you the drama. We were scared.A few of us were crying and praying, thankfully after 6hours (3pm)we reached Camotes.

Our boat ride which took us 6 hours to reach Camotes due to big waves & zero visibility(can can see the waves?)

Tropical Huts

The place was quiet, not crowded. The sand was fine and the waters are tempting.

The hotel rooms are clean and decent. I wish, it had a hot shower, but you can request hot water for your bath for free of charge.(No photos of our room, I was too tired & feverish)

I did not enjoyed much on this trip, since mostly I was in bed due to fever. For the rest of my colleagues, they said they enjoyed Camotes Island.

Cafe Capriccio

Last May 31st,I had a simple birthday dinner with my good friends at Cafe Capriccio, in Nivel Hills Lahug,Cebu, near Marco Polo. My second time to be in this place. What I liked about this place is that, it not crowded and the ambiance is good.

What we ate ( I forgot the names of the food though)

variety of dips

Calamares in red sauce dip.

Chicken ala capriccio. The chicken tastes good.

Fish fillet en papillote

Mixed Kebab

Beef was soft and tender.

Gambas.
I did not appreciate this. I could not taste the shrimps,it is as if the shrimps were mashed.

Anyway, overall the food was good and reasonably price.

A visit to Boljoon Church

On our way home from Dumaguete, we were lucky to find Boljoon Church open and a mass was being held. Most days, it was closed. It is one of the oldest church made of original stone in southern part of Cebu. Restoration and conservation are on-going.

The National Museum declared Boljoon Church as a National Cultural Treasure.

Photos taken mainly inside the premises of the church.
